The conductor of an orchestra commands musicians who flawlessly play instruments of the highest quality.  The Conductor and Orchestra rehearse untold hours to achieve a quality performance.  Yet, such music reaches a limited audience, for orchestra music is not for everyone.

Discovering something new in God’s word is always exhilarating. It occurred to me the other day as I was reading the Gospels that the life of Christ is bookended with two Josephs: His earthly father Joseph and Joseph of Arimathea.

The beloved apostles reasoning for supporting missionaries. Note: John had the heart of Christ like no other. Paul clearly agrees with John's missions philosophy in the last chapter of Romans.

III John
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; 6 Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:

Jesus is the Greek version of our Lord’s name. In Hebrew, it is pronounced Jeshua.

Jeshua’s message for salvation is two part; repent and believe. Both are the combination to unlock salvation. They are also two related words in Hebrew.

I was studying for this Sunday's sermon and started to consider Christ's choice to ride on a foal of an ass.

Christ was going to Jerusalem to demonstrate his right as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  He is heir to the throne of David.  He was also demonstrating his servanthood.  He came as King riding a lowly beast of burden.

The colt had never been ridden before, just as the tomb had never been used before.
