It is so encouraging when someone “gets you” or when you realize you are not the only one.  When the prophet was at his lowest, God said, “…I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal…” I Kings 19:17. We live in a time when satan, the contrary accuser, appears to have the upper hand.  Do not be discouraged, but rather rally unto your local church and go out with the gospel.  It is the only light. It is the point of it all!  It will pierce the darkness and the gates of Hell do not have a chance!

In their zeal, the disciples admitted to reproving one for casting out devils in the Savior’s name.  Christ was clear,”…Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part.” Mk 9:39-40.  In the Hebrew language, “Jesus” can be broken down into two roots; Jehovah and Saves.  It literally means Savior.

We were invited to the 10th anniversary of the Christian school.  One of the speakers was a well- known politician with a relatively conservative platform. He belongs to the Christian Democratic Union party.  I so wanted to talk with him but had a counseling session scheduled.

Chelli approached him to thank him for the speech he gave in support of Christian education and was surprised to hear these words, “Please missionize my people.  Germany has lost sight of God and needs people like you to come here and preach the Gospel to them once again.  We used to send out missionaries but look at us now.”  He spoke of the second coming and the urgent need.  What an encouragement it was to find a like-minded politician in our midst and to have the opportunity to discuss spiritual matters with him over dinner.

Last week we took twenty 9th graders from Chelli’s class on a week in the woods with the Forestry Service.  We had daily devotions and plenty of one-on-one time.  The gospel was clearly presented many times.  The last night, I set out to speak individually with the kids.  Please pray that the seeds planted will grow and the relationships will open hearts.

Please pray for our kids.  Skyler is taking on leadership responsibilities at work and in the local Baptist church he and Eva attend.  Samantha is at College of the Ozarks, Serenity is at Liberty U. She picks up her service dog for her Asperger’s in the Thanksgiving break. It will be a great blessing as he will help identify when she needs to take a break.  She has fainted several times this last year.  Every fall is potentially dangerous. Please pray for travel mercies.  Sadie is a senior in high school this year.  Please pray that her left knee strengthens as the surgery on her right knee is planned for December 2.

Be open to God’s leadership by praying without ceasing.  God has a plan.  Be a part of it!

A special thanks for the special offerings, especially during these uncertain times.
