A new opportunity to share Christ. That is our purpose. We have been in Germany for 18 years now. Our four children were born during those years. They are multi-cultural and multi-lingual. God has blessed us with souls saved and lives changed. Germans often question why we stay in Germany. "America is such a great place to live. Why do you choose to live here in Germany?" The answer is always the same, God sent us here and here we serve. The bulk of my ministry is in the German language. What a shame it would be if we couldn't use our German on a daily basis.

We are so very thankful for the many ways that God has blessed us in these past 18 years. Fifteen of those years have been spent here in Wittenberg where our hearts have become entwined with the souls of the many people that we have grown to know and love. Arriving in Wittenberg those many years ago, as a family of 3, we moved into an unfinished apartment and established our first lasting relationships with our neighbors, who still contribute to our church's ministry. At that time, we started with monthly and then weekly Bible studies in our living room. Though, we still meet in our home regularly for Bible studies, God blessed us 10 years ago with a wonderful building as well. This building is where we are able to host Sunday morning services, teen activities and various special services throughout the year. It is even complete with a baptistry. In a land where real-estate prices are phenomenal and rent is outrageous, this is nothing short of a miracle. It has been a blessing to see our church people grow and shoulder the responsibility this property.

Our Christmas program was planned and executed completely by our Teen Group this year. Two Sundays before Christmas, we lit the candles and opened our church doors, welcoming the families of our church members including 4 first-time visitors. The teens did a wonderful job communicating the Christmas Message in song, verse and scripture. They were great. It was so refreshing to see them growing in the Lord. They truly ministered to me and all who had the privilege of attending our Christmas Tea.

We have reserved our plane tickets for our furlough this summer. For our family of 6, the total this time around is $7,025. More than half of that cost has been paid for by our furlough savings account, but as you can imagine, with the rising travel costs, there is still a bit more to be covered. If you feel God leading you or your church to help with this need, please contact us.

We are also planning our furlough schedule and have some appointments still available. We will be in Ohio in July and Iowa in August, as well as travelling the roads which connect the two. We are specifically in need of presenting our ministry to new churches that would be interested in investing in souls in Germany. If you or someone you know would like to join our support team, please contact us

about a summer 2013 appointment.

With much thanks,

Paul Sudbrock
